UNIVERSITY STUDIES AND EVOLUTION OF PARADIGMATIC APPROACH THE PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

Currently a question is formed in the philosophy of education, solving which requires the integration of practices of three disciplinary lines: pedagogy, epistemology and university research. The essence of the matter lies in the need to expand the interpretation of the term «educational paradigm» in the context of higher education. In the article an attempt is made to solve this problem by introducing the concept of «academic paradigm», taking into account two key approaches, one based on the value component of university education, and the other oriented toward social epistemology. Within the first approach, the concept of theology of education is highlighted. Its representatives rely on the moral core of religion, but they do not exclude the effective tools of philosophical methodology. Authors following the second approach constructively criticize the understanding of knowledge as an independent variable, common in traditional epistemology, which also seems to be productive for solving the task. The final element that prevents excessive theorization is the principle of attention to the material practices of academic life, an instrument already developed by social philosophy and anthropology.
